At St Luke's, we use the Understanding Christianity programme to support pupils in developing their own thinking and their understanding of Christianity, as a contribution to their understanding of the world and their own experience within it. We also use the Discovery R.E. programme to help children to explore faiths that may be different to their own. We do this by considering a key question each half term. Pupils are encouraged to reflect on what they might already know that might help them to answer the question. Further learning and knowledge gained throughout the half term helps children to answer each key question. We aim to add to this knowledge and understanding through visitors of different faiths whom we welcome into our school and our visits to places of worship within our local community.
