Success in the Pop Up Pool

Making a splash this summer has been quite something! Our Pop-Up Pool project has been a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to develop their swimming skills and water confidence, and we're delighted to share some brilliant results with you.

We offered swimming lessons to 109 pupils whose parents had requested this additional support. Of these, 74 pupils have successfully passed the government's 25-metre threshold target – a real achievement that reflects their hard work and determination in the water.

What's particularly pleasing is the progress made by our Year 5 and 6 pupils who hadn't quite reached the 25-metre target when they were in Year 4. Every single one of these pupils who received daily lessons over the past two weeks has now met the 25-metre target. This is an outstanding result and testament to the intensive support they've received and their own commitment to improving.
