Feel it, name it, say it

At St Luke's the well-being of our pupils and staff is of paramount importance and we recognise that in the busy school day it can sometimes be difficult to take the time to acknowledge and talk about the huge variety of emotions that we might experience.

In order to promote the value of such conversations our P.S.H.E. and well-being leads have worked together with the school council to develop our Feel it, name it, say it strategy, which will be introduced to children this (Autumn) term.

After holding a competition for pupils to design a logo to represent the new strategy, the fantastic winning design by Harriet, one of our year 6 pupils, was chosen by members of the school council:

Well-being Wednesday worships will give teachers and pupils time to identify, explore and learn to cope with their emotions and we hope that our new tag-line, Feel it, name it, say it will become part of our school conversation, enabling everyone at St Luke's to feel supported and well-equipped to deal with whatever life might throw at them!

As well as being able to talk about their emotions, pupils will be given practical advice about actions they can take to deal with difficult emotions or situations:
