Admissions to St. Luke's CE Primary School
Reception
School admissions are controlled by Staffordshire Local Authority (LA) and we advise parents to contact the LA with regards to admissions. Applications for Reception places prior to the start of the year are made through the authority and relevant forms can be found at:
The school can admit up to sixty children in any year group. In the event of being oversubscribed; i.e. an excess of 60 children, then the allocation of places is made in accordance with the Local Education Authority’s (LEA) published criteria for admissions.
The criteria are as follow:
- Looked after or previously looked after children.
- Children with brothers or sisters already at school who will still be at St. Luke's when they start school themselves.
- Children whose home address is located within the catchment area: School Search - Staffordshire County Council
- Children whose parents regularly attend a Church of England church
- Any remaining places will be allocated on the basis of distance from home to school

If you wish to apply or a place during the academic year and your child is alredy school age please complete the attached form and return it to the school office. You will receive an outcome to your application within 15 school days. Please note the different application form for those children who are in the care of a local authority.
